Literacy - Reports - 2012

Your task is to write a report about endangered animals.

A report is a formal text that gives you information about a subject. Remember it is different from a recount or an explanation text because it is not written in the order in which things happen. You will need to think about:
  • Title and first sentence
  • Paragraphs and introduction sentence
  • Facts to include
  • Diagrams and pictures

Literacy - Library Launch - 2012

The 7th March was a very exciting day as it was the launch of our new library. This means that everyone is a member and can now take out a book of their choice. To celebrate this we got involved in a range of book related activities. We had a visit from Kathryn White, a children's author and had a workshop based on the book The Beast Hunter.

We did some shared reading with Year 3 and Reception.
